Our Team

Ahmed operates predominantly in criminal law, commercial law and civil litigation. This includes contract drafting, Intellectual Property law and negotiations. He regularly appears in matters such as drug offences, assaults and sexual assaults, fraud, traffic matters and serious charges such as drug trafficking, murder and manslaughter.

Ahmed has had involvement in complex matters such as terror-related offences, which sees clients subject to a very diverse set of rules. He has successfully appeared in cases where terror charges have been withdrawn, allowing his clients to remain in Australia.

Danielle is admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, and is the Senior Associate of our Queensland offices. Danielle completed the Bachelor of Criminology and Bachelor of Laws with honours, graduating on the Dean’s list of Academic Excellence. Danielle practices exclusively in criminal law, including appeals and confiscations matters.

Danielle is at the forefront of a range of major criminal matters, including drug possession, supply, trafficking and production, assault, murder and attempted murder, armed robberies and major corporate crime. She also appears in Commonwealth matters and on a range of traffic matters including dangerous driving offences and applications for restricted licences. She deals with matters in every jurisdiction, and continues to be the lead of the most high-profile and complex criminal matters in Queensland. She also regularly appears at the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) and the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission (ACIC), which requires specific knowledge of governing legislation in order to ensure her client’s rights are protected.

Outside of work, Danielle has had involvement in the provision of pro bono legal services at the Gold Coast Community Legal Centre, and has a particular interest in the laws relating to miscarriages of justice.

Torik joined our office in 2017 and is admitted in the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He completed a Bachelor of Laws and operates in Criminal law, Family law and Civil litigation.

Torik is a passionate advocate and regularly appears in various Courts throughout Queensland. His daily role sees him appearing in Courts of all jurisdictions, including the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, liaising with clients and Counsel, attending conferences and preparing legal documents. Torik has worked on various criminal matters ranging from traffic offences to murder, and appears in the Crime and Corruption Commission.  

Torik was the Dux of his High School and a senior member of his University’s student member association. He participates regularly in volunteer work and fundraising for various causes.
